Round 1 (March-April)

CRAB GRASS PREVENTER AND SPRING GREEN FERTILIZER

We put down the crabgrass preventer before the crabgrass germinates. This needs to be done before the soil temperature reaches 70 degrees. Crabgrass can take over a yard by July or August, destroying your beautiful yard. It also heads out quickly and causes you to mow more often. The key to preventing it is a good stand of grass cut at the proper height and preventer applied in the early spring. We apply a special fertilizer in the spring to give it that dark green color without excessive growth.

· Annual grasses crowd out your good grass. It can choke it out requiring expensive overseeding.

· Crab grass grows faster that your regular grass, this means you have to more frequently!

Round 2 (April-June)

SPRING BROAD LEAF CONTROL & SLOW-RELEASE FERTILIZER

We use only the best weed control products and equipment to make sure the job is done right. Get rid of the weeds and keep your flower! We also use a special slow-release fertilizer. It keeps the grass green and healthy going into summer.

Slow Release Nitrogen In Round 2

This gives the grass a more even growth curve and healthy dark green color. Quick-release fertilizer causes fast growth (more mowing) and shallow roots. Often the grass will turn brown in the summer quickly if it is only fertilized with quick release. Quick-release doesn't last long, and soon the grass is pale green. Also, slow-release fertilizer can be more environmentally sound. We precisely target the grass, and the fertilizer stays where we put it. You have less nitrogen leaching and runoff.

Round 4 (August)

LATE SPOT WEED CONTROL AND REPAIR FERTILIZER

Spot spray for weed outbreaks and a special fertilizer for repairing the yard going into fall.

Yellow Nutsedge

It can be mistaken as crabgrass, but it's not. It is a perennial sedge weed that is hard to get rid of. We have seen it become a problem in the past few years. Traditional weed control is not effective, and it takes special effort to control it.

Round 5 (Sept-October)

FALL BROADLEAF CONTROL AND FERTILIZER

Fall is the most important time to spray for broadleaf weeds. The dandelions that bloom in the spring come up in the fall. Also, perennial weeds like white clover and annual weeds like henbit are easier to control in the fall. Fertilizing in the early fall helps repair the damage from the hot summer. During Round 5

we will apply additional fertilizer to build roots.

Round 6 (October-November)

WINTERIZER FERTILIZER

This is the most important application of fertilizer for your yard. This blend improves the root structure of the grass so it can go into winter healthy and strong. It will green up faster and better in the spring.

Winterizing helps the grass grow longer during the fall and survive through the cold temperatures of the winter.
